Several works of Ledig’s capture intimate moments of womanhood, highlighting the paradox of strength and vulnerability, and the sense of sisterhood shared between women. In describing her work Ready, Ledig says "Often my paintings are a reflection on my own inner state and the questions and themes that I deal with at that time...Ready can literally mean being ready for anything. With my paintings, I want to speak to and empower other women. Giving their emotions and realities a face and a space to tell their stories."
