Little Buds is a limited series of twelve unique sculptural works created from materials given a second life. Repurposed denim and remnants of performance velvet from Gabriela Noelle’s Toadstool series are transformed into expressive textile flowers, each with a personality of its own—grumpy, happy, coy, or perhaps a little too cool, yet all grateful for a second chance.

Debuting at Avant Gallery’s Boca Raton location, tucked behind a sourdough shop, Little Buds takes a playful cue from its surroundings. The familiar “Thank You” bag recalls the simple things we might carry home from a neighborhood market—a loaf made by hand, a bouquet of flowers, something chosen with care. Here, the flowers are made to last, and the bag that carries them becomes an object to keep, collect, and fill again.

Conceived as a vessel rather than a fixed container, the “Thank You” bag can hold future Little Buds and new iterations as the series evolves. In this way, the collector becomes part of the work’s continuing story: the vessel remains while what it carries can change, grow, and blossom again.

At its heart, Little Buds is a daily reminder of what gratitude, care, and a shift in perspective can reveal: what might have been overlooked can be seen again, what might have been discarded can be treasured, and what we already have can transform, evolve, and blossom into something greater.
