Working under the artistic name David Rivers, Dmitry Prut draws upon nearly two decades as a curator, gallerist, and creative director to develop a distinct artistic voice through sculpture and mixed media.
Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Rivers received his earliest artistic training at the city's prestigious House of Pioneers before immigrating to the United States, where he was raised in Brooklyn, New York. There, the city's museums, architecture, and vibrant street culture cultivated an enduring dialogue between classical artistic tradition and the contemporary visual canon.
Under his given name Dmitry Prut, he has established a distinctive position within the international art world as founder and creative director of Avant Gallery.
