Southampton, NY | July 2025 — Avant Gallery announces its return to the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, July 10–13, at the Southampton Fairgrounds (Booths 339 & 329). The gallery will present a considered selection of new works by five distinct voices in contemporary art: Marcos Anziani, Chase Lock, Brandusa Niro, Victoria Ledig, and Jon Koehler.
Marcos Anziani debuts a striking new series that builds on the evolution of his expressive visual language. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, Anziani’s canvases merge vivid tropical palettes with layered figuration and symbolic motifs. In By Invitation Only, saturated hues collide with shadowed backdrops, weaving overlapping faces and objects into scenes that evoke secrecy, memory, and personal myth.
"By Invitation Only" | 60x60 in | Acrylic and oil on canvas | 2025
Chase Lock introduces new paintings defined by thick oil textures and assertive color fields. In Is She Real, abstract figuration intertwines with floral eyes and spiraling contours — subtle nods to the golden spiral and the harmonies of natural geometry. Lock’s vibrant surfaces become meditations on identity and connection in an increasingly digital world.
"Is She Real" | 72x72 in | Oil on canvas | 2025
Brandusa Niro, known for her elongated, narrative-rich figures, presents works from her latest series, including The Little Ballerina and Swimmer, Nice c.1940. These pastel-toned portraits channel the nostalgia of coastal holidays and the tender complexities of youth and femininity. Equally suited to a Hamptons retreat or urban interior, Niro’s paintings offer a timeless dialogue between elegance and whimsy.
"Swimmer, St Tropez, c. 1940" | 48x36 in | Acrylic on canvas | 2025
Victoria Ledig, based in Berlin, explores evolving roles of womanhood through bold geometric compositions and her continuing “blue and pink period.” Set against deep indigo grounds, vivid pinks and corals articulate themes of motherhood, intimacy, and quiet resilience, inviting contemplation of the feminine form in both emotional and symbolic dimensions.
"Intertwined" | 60x40 in | Acrylic and oil stick on cotton canvas | 2025
Jon Koehler, a San Diego–based sculptor, returns with two new works that advance his exploration of stainless steel’s sculptural possibilities. In Live, Laugh, Love, Koehler continues his “Dream Totems” series — polished metal forms balanced on marble — while Peacock moves into abstract territory, arranging blue, stone-like elements into a composition that channels nature’s poise and quiet force.
"Live, Laugh, Love" | 102 x 100 x 48 in | Polished stainless steel and marble base | 2024
Since 2007, Avant Gallery has championed a global roster of emerging and established artists through a program rooted in accessibility, innovation, and market responsiveness.
