Jonathan Yeo, born in London, England in 1970, is best known for his mixed-media portraits of influential figures from politics and pop culture. Yeo integrates elements of abstraction into his practice of portraiture to create surprising images of familiar faces. In 2013, Yeo’s work was shown at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. and added to the museum’s permanent collection. His works also reside in the permanent collections of the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle, The Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle in Denmark, and The Royal Collection.
