Leo Caillard was born in Paris in 1985. Through a blend of different periods and anachronism, he prompts us to reflect on the present in relation to our past. “I try to show what we think we know differently, so as to shake-up our convictions and establish a dialog between periods,” he has said. In his works, Caillard constantly raises questions of digital’s place among classical art in museums and our social codes and representation as individuals. Since 2015, Caillard has been working on new creations based on light interacting with stone, symbolically creating a dialog between solid matter and abstract matter, tangible and quantum. His works were acquired by private collectors and museums around the world. In 2017, Leo Caillard created 6 specific pieces for a private event at the Louvre Museum entrance.
